Underground Supervisor - SWATcrete

Summary

Reporting to his captain, the supervisor is responsible for implementing operations on the site. He collaborates in the planning, organization and control of his team and equipment. The supervisor is responsible for all activities relating to high quality services specialized in the application of cementitious products in all these forms and intended for the mining and civil sectors. He applies and evaluates his teams' processes in order to maximize productivity and skills development. He actively participates in the growth of the organization and upholds the mission, vision and values of the company.

Main responsibilities

Security

• Ensures the implementation of site prevention program activities;
• Support employees in implementing safe, environmental work methods and practices and maintaining good human relations while maximizing the profitability of the operation;
• Uses and enforces the AMQ method regarding inspection, planning, decisions and execution of work;
• Responsible for identifying the critical elements of the project with his team;
• Works on developing risk analyses.

Project management

• Supervises and directs teams and stakeholders in carrying out projects within planned deadlines and costs (deadlines, labor needs, required equipment and others);
• Ensures that the detailed schedule is respected (calendar, dates, main stages of the project, constraints, working methods);
• Participates in establishing working methods in collaboration with his team;

Expenses management

• Plans, with the collaboration of his team, the orders materials for the site and manages his inventories on his projects;
• Ensures that all elements relating to invoicing are given and sent to the people concerned (costs, contingencies, management, complaints and others);

Communication

• Informs the various stakeholders of changes and new directives for a project;
• Organizes and leads site meetings regularly;
• Maintaining good relationships with administrative office managers and clients;
• Evaluates and analyzes the performance of work teams on a regular basis;

Required Qualifications

• DEP in mineral extraction and 2 to 5 years of experience;
• Have a valid explosives permit;
• FMTM 1,2,3,4,5,7;
• Commons Core (asset);
• Bilingualism (asset).
