Construction miner


Summary

Reporting to his supervisor, the miner is responsible for implementing operations on the site (Ontario worksite). He collaborates in the planning, organization and control of equipment. He is responsible for all activities relating to high quality services specializing in the application of cementitious products in all these forms and intended for the mining and civil sectors. He applies processes in a way that maximizes productivity and skills development. He actively participates in the growth of the organization and upholds the mission, vision and values of the company.


Main responsibilities

• Operates and controls the handling and operations of the equipment used (lance, concrete pump and others);
• Performs maintenance and repairs required to maintain the operational status of equipment;
• Respects detailed deadlines (calendars, dates, main stages of the project, constraints, working methods) and monitors the work carried out;
• Participates in the implementation of safe working methods in collaboration with his team;
• Validates the technical monitoring in place (technical sheets, inspections, plan and specifications and others);
• Participates in resolving problematic situations;
• Manages the equipment and tools used;
• Transmits the results of his team to his supervisor;
• Ensures and maintains good relationships with his supervisor and his team;
• Ensures and maintains good interpersonal relationships with customers;
• Participates, with the supervisor, in the evaluation and analysis of the performance of work teams on a regular basis.
• All other related tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma of professional studies in ore extraction;
• Modular mining worker training, modules : 1,2,3,4,5,7;
• Experience with manual work;
• Valid explosives permit;
• Class 5 driving license.

Working conditions

• Schedule : 7 days worked and 7 days off;
• Group Insurance;
• RRSP with employer contribution.
